Julie Johnson 

Julie was born and raised in Whitewright, Texas. She is a 6th generation Texan, and darn proud of it! While her music and her heart are home-grown in Texas, Julie’s extensive experience in music and stage performance has made her unique among Texas country artists. She made her Broadway debut in Hal Prince's Candide. She has also appeared in the off-Broadway productions of Das Barbecü (Drama Desk Nominee, Theatre World Award) and The Rink (Angel). Her regional productions include The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (Miss Mona Stangley), The Rocky Horror Show (Magenta), Paper Moon (Trixie), Opal (Mama), Heartbeats (Best Friend), Lucky Guy (Jeannie), Just a Closer Walk with Patsy Cline (Patsy), Pump Boys & Dinettes (Rhetta), Nunsense (Sister Mary Amnesia) and Chess (Svetlana). Julie has been seen in the films The Apostle and Pure Country and on television in As The World Turns. She recently appeared on A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor for National Public Radio. Julie recieved her BA from Austin College in Sherman, Texas. Currently, Julie is touring to support her two Texas country music albums, All Grown Up... So Far and More Than Half Way. When she’s not on the road, Julie lives in a cabin by a lake near her hometown of Whitewright, with her son Trey.
